RESUMO

Heterostructure engineering combined with carbonaceous materials shows great promise toward promoting sluggish kinetics, improving electronic conductivity, and mitigating the huge expansion of transition metal sulfide electrodes for high-performance sodium storage. Herein, the iron sulfide-based heterostructures in situ hybridized with nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes (Fe7S8/FeS2/NCNT) have been prepared through a successive pyrolysis and sulfidation approach. The Fe7S8/FeS2/NCNT heterostructure delivered a high reversible capacity of 403.2 mAh g-1 up to 100 cycles at 1.0 A g-1 and superior rate capability (273.4 mAh g-1 at 20.0 A g-1) in ester-based electrolyte. Meanwhile, the electrodes also demonstrated long-term cycling stability (466.7 mAh g-1 after 1,000 cycles at 5.0 A g-1) and outstanding rate capability (536.5 mAh g-1 at 20.0 A g-1) in ether-based electrolyte. This outstanding performance could be mainly attributed to the fast sodium-ion diffusion kinetics, high capacitive contribution, and convenient interfacial dynamics in ether-based electrolyte.

RESUMO

Tin sulfide (SnS) has been considered as one of the most promising sodium storage materials because of its excellent electrochemical activity, low cost, and low-dimensional structure. However, owing to the serious volume change upon discharging/charging and poor electronic conductivity, the SnS-based electrodes often suffer from electrode pulverization and sluggish reaction kinetics, thus resulting in serious capacity fading and degraded rate capability. In this work, SnS nanoparticles uniformly distributed on the surface of the layered Niobium carbide MXene (SnS/Nb2CTx) were fabricated through a facile solvothermal approach followed by calcination, endowing the SnS/Nb2CTx with a three-dimensional interconnected framework as well as fast charge transfer. Benefitting from the excellent electronic/ionic conductivity, efficient buffering matrix, abundant active sites, and high sodium storage activity inherited from the structure design, the robust electronic coupling between SnS nanoparticle and Nb2CTx MXene results in excellent electrochemical output, which demonstrates superior reversible capacities of 479.6 (0.1 A/g up to 100 cycles) and 278.9 mAh/g (0.5 A/g up to 500 cycles) upon sodium storage, respectively. The excellent electrochemical performance manifests the promise of the combination of metal sulfides with Nb2CTx MXene to fabricate high-performance electrodes for sodium storage.

RESUMO

(1) Purpose: To compare and evaluate the immediate and long-term results of the use of various hernioplasties for the treatment of inguinal hernias after surgical treatment of prostate cancer; to determine the possibility of performing transabdominal preperitoneal (TAPP) hernioplasty and total extraperitoneal (eTEP) hernioplasty in patients with inguinal hernia during surgical treatment of prostate cancer. (2) Method: This study is a clinical analytical prospective study, without the use of randomization. The study included 220 patients with inguinal hernia, who were randomly divided into two groups (group A (n = 100) and group B (n = 120)). Patients in group A received eTEP, and those in group B received TAPP. The end points of the study were the results associated with the operation itself and the prognosis of the disease in the two groups. (3) Results: Group A: five patients had a scrotal hematoma, in 10 cases nosocomial pneumonia or infectious complications from the postoperative wound. The overall rate of early postoperative complications was 15%. In group B, the following postoperative complications were reported: one case of intestinal injury, six cases of acute urinary retention, eight cases of scrotal hematoma and 12 cases of nosocomial pneumonia or infectious complications from the postoperative wound were admitted. The overall incidence of early postoperative complications was 22.5%. There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups (χ2 (3) = 2.54, p > 0.05). (4) Conclusion: During the analysis of the obtained results, no statistically significant difference was found in the duration of hospitalization, the volume of blood loss, the severity of pain syndrome, postoperative complication incidence and recurrence incidence (p > 0.05); however, the comparison groups differed in the duration of the operation: the operation time in group A was much longer compared to group B (p < 0.05).

RESUMO

Belowground interactions mediated by root exudates are critical for the productivity and efficiency of intercropping systems. Herein, we investigated the process of microbial community assembly in maize, peanuts, and shared rhizosphere soil as well as their regulatory mechanisms on root exudates under different planting patterns by combining metabolomic and metagenomic analyses. The results showed that the yield of intercropped maize increased significantly by 21.05% (2020) and 52.81% (2021), while the yield of intercropped peanut significantly decreased by 39.51% (2020) and 32.58% (2021). The nitrogen accumulation was significantly higher in the roots of the intercropped maize than in those of sole maize at 120 days after sowing, it increased by 129.16% (2020) and 151.93% (2021), respectively. The stems and leaves of intercropped peanut significantly decreased by 5.13 and 22.23% (2020) and 14.45 and 24.54% (2021), respectively. The root interaction had a significant effect on the content of ammonium nitrogen (NH4 +-N) as well as the activities of urease (UE), nitrate reductase (NR), protease (Pro), and dehydrogenase (DHO) in the rhizosphere soil. A combined network analysis showed that the content of NH4 +-N as well as the enzyme activities of UE, NR and Pro increased in the rhizosphere soil, resulting in cyanidin 3-sambubioside 5-glucoside and cyanidin 3-O-(6-Op-coumaroyl) glucoside-5-O-glucoside; shisonin were significantly up-regulated in the shared soil of intercropped maize and peanut, reshaped the bacterial community composition, and increased the relative abundance of Bradyrhizobium. These results indicate that interspecific root interactions improved the soil microenvironment, regulated the absorption and utilization of nitrogen nutrients, and provided a theoretical basis for high yield and sustainable development in the intercropping of maize and peanut.

RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the differential expression of microRNA (miRNA) in patients with endometrial cancer and its relationship with prognosis and survival. Method: We used The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database to analyze differentially expressed miRNAs in endometrial cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues. In addition, we successfully screened out key microRNAs to build nomogram models for predicting prognosis and we performed survival analysis on the key miRNAs as well. Result: We identified 187 differentially expressed miRNAs, which includes 134 up-regulated miRNAs and 53 down-regulated miRNAs. Further univariate Cox regression analysis screened out 47 significantly differentially expressed miRNAs and selected 12 miRNAs from which the prognostic nomogram model for ECA patients by LASSO analysis was constructed. Survival analysis showed that high expression of hsa-mir-138-2, hsa-mir-548f-1, hsa-mir-934, hsa-mir-940, and hsa-mir-4758 as well as low-expression of hsa-mir-146a, hsa-mir-3170, hsa-mir-3614, hsa-mir-3616, and hsa-mir-4687 are associated with poor prognosis in EC patients. However, significant correlations between the expressions levels of has-mir-876 and hsa-mir-1269a and patients' prognosis are not found. Conclusion: Our study found that 12 significantly differentially expressed miRNAs might promote the proliferation, invasion, and metastasis of cancer cells by regulating the expression of upstream target genes, thereby affecting the prognosis of patients with endometrial cancer.
